What we’re working towards

Thriving Minds Collective Ltd, trading as The Greenwich Psychologists, has built this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, whatever combination of device, browser or assistive technology you’re using to read it.

Practical steps taken so far

The markup is semantic HTML5, so headings, lists and page landmarks translate properly for assistive technology rather than relying on visual layout alone.
Every interactive element, the mobile menu and the FAQ accordions included, responds fully to keyboard navigation.
A skip link sits at the top of each page, letting a keyboard user bypass repeated navigation and land straight on the content.
Focus states are visible throughout, so wherever keyboard focus currently sits is obvious rather than hidden.
Colour contrast for text and buttons has been checked against WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds.
Form fields, including on the get-started questionnaire, carry clear labels and error messages that actually explain the problem.
Pages stay usable when text is enlarged up to 200 per cent through the browser.
Testing has covered mobile, tablet and desktop layouts.

Being honest about gaps

We go over the site periodically and correct what turns up, but no self-assessment guarantees every criterion is met on every page all the time. If you hit something that doesn’t work properly, tell us about it rather than finding a workaround.

Email [email protected] describing what happened and where on the site it was. Expect a reply within five working days.

How it’s built

HTML5, CSS and JavaScript make up the site, tested against NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver as part of arriving at this WCAG 2.1 AA self-assessment.
